The two games will give fans the chance to see the new stadium, familiarise themselves with the routes to the ground and to also see legends take to the pitch.Provided they pass the safety test, they are targeting the first week in April to officially begin the era in their new home.A spokesperson said: “In respect of our opening game, this is subject to both a safety certificate and the outcome of Brighton & Hove Albions FA Cup match on Sunday 17 March.“We have held discussions with the Premier League and UEFA. The following has been agreed with the Premier League, Brighton and Crystal Palace to ensure that our first game is a Premier League match prior to a UEFA Champions League quarter-final match:“If Brighton win their FA Cup quarter-final match on Sunday 17th March we shall play Crystal Palace on Wednesday 3rd April and Brighton on 23rd/24th April.“If Brighton lose their FA Cup quarter-final match on Sunday 17th March we shall play Brighton on 6th/7th April (subject to Champions League scheduling) and Crystal Palace on 23rd/24th April.” The test events at the new stadium will see Spurs’ Under-18s play Southampton on March 24 before a Legends match on March 30.Spurs had been scheduled to move to the new 62,000-capacity stadium, built on the site of the old White Hart Lane, at the start of the season but construction has been heavily delayed.Instead, the club have been forced to play home games at Wembley for a second consecutive season.
